As an independent consultant and trainer focused on the Azure Data Platform, Jason helps clients solve business problems mostly in the Data and Advanced Analytics spaces. This often involves various and sundry cloud technologies including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, HDInsight and Power BI. He's fluent in several languages including: SQL, C#, Python, Spark and PowerShell.

Over a 25+ year career, Jason has led a 30 person national advanced analytics practice, was responsible for P&L, employee retention and development, product development, while managing various partner relationships with Microsoft and other strategic partners.  He has held the corporate positions of Operations Manager, Practice Lead, BI Solutions Architect, DW Architect, BI Developer, DBA, Software Developer and Engineer, and System Administrator.

Jason is a Microsoft Certified Master of SQL Server (MCM) and has been recognized for his technical excellence and evangelism efforts by Microsoft by being previously awarded the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for 6 years.  He also holds 7 Microsoft certifications and the DAMA International certification Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) at a Master's Level.

Jason is also a highly sought after conference speaker and corporate trainer, where he offers training and insights on Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics and Fundamentals, as well as Modern Data Architecture, Cosmos DB and DevOps.

Jason currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Data Management Association (DAMA) Rocky Mountain Chapter as the VP of Professional Development and previously served as the VP of Marketing on the Board for the Denver SQL Server Users Group.
